Laguna de Aves is located on the heart of Mexico, in the state of Tamaulipas, but very close to the United Sates, near the state of Texas.
You can find migratory birds that come from Canada and the U.S. during winter; as well as endemic and resident species from the Mexican tropics.
Not only you can find birds, but also a great diversity of mammals, reptiles, butterflies, plants, trees and marine life; all this because there is a wide gamut of habitats.
The great Soto La Marina River has arid semi-desert to the north, jungle to the south, the Gulf of Mexico to the east, and mountains to the west.
You can help and contribute to Laguna de Aves; with your visits you support the project and most important, keep the bird’s habitat in good conditions, in order for them to live as they should.
